Here's an interesting piece from Chris Creamer's Sportslogos.net, a column on professional sports teams that have either been relocated to a different city (then the original or birthplace of said team has received a new team, using the original team's name) or a new team in a city that has gone decades or longer without a team then using a new team either from relocation or expansion with the same name of a team long-gone. Usually from a want to honor the past, or by popular decision by the fans.
